Job summary

Baker Concrete Construction, Inc in Houston is seeking a Regional Director of Safety Health & Environment to lead the IIF safety culture across projects. The role spends a minimum 70% of time in the field observing and coaching teams to correct unsafe conditions and reinforce safe practices.

You will oversee incident investigations, provide safety training, and drive company-wide safety practices to improve safety, quality, and productivity on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or EHS from an accredited college.
• OSHA 500 certification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years construction experience or 6 years construction safety experience.
• Preferred certification from a Professional Safety Organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs and observe field operations to promote IIF culture.
• Coach co-workers and safety professionals to correct unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Participate in incident investigations and lead corrective action implementation.
• Develop region-wide safety practices and share lessons learned.
• Communicate safety plans and deliver toolbox talks to teams.
