Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Boston invites applications for a Regional Director of Early Education. This on-site role leads early education programs across branches, ensuring alignment with the YMCA's Healthy Living, Youth Development, and Social Responsibility focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in Elementary Education or related field.
• 4+ years' professional educational experience supervising staff and developing curriculum.
• EEC qualifications: Lead Infant/Toddler, Lead Preschool, Director II Qualified.
• Demonstrated understanding of developmental progression of skills in children and program development.
• Commitment to YMCA mission and outcomes for children.

Responsibilities

• Connect program activities to YMCA core focus areas: Healthy Living, Youth Development, Social Responsibility.
• Ensure licensing and quality compliance including EEC, QRIS, NAEYC.
• Collaborate with branch executives and Association Director.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including staffing and safety.
• Develop developmentally appropriate, multicultural curriculum.
• Lead budget planning and fiscal management with program team.
• Engage in YMCA initiatives including curriculum, assessments, and kindergarten readiness.
• Create daily schedules with monthly themes engaging all children.
• Ensure policies, parent meetings, staff development, and accountability.
• Maintain child safety through structured activities and thorough hiring practices.
