Job summary

Reading Partners seeks a Development and Fundraising Capacity Building VISTA to strengthen the systems and infrastructure that enable nationwide literacy support. You will contribute to sustainable fundraising practices, prospect pipelines, donor engagement, and campaign infrastructure across regions.

You will gain experience in nonprofit fundraising, prospect research, donor stewardship, partnership development, campaign strategy, data analysis, and national systems building while collaborating

Qualifications

• Experience with prospect research, fundraising, donor engagement, data management, or corporate partnerships is a plus.
• Strong written communication, research, project management, and analytical skills.
• Interest in nonprofit development, philanthropy, education, or community partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Assess regional fundraising systems, workflows, and development practices to identify opportunities for improvement
• Research corporations, foundations, businesses, and community organizations aligned with Reading Partners' mission and develop prospect profiles
• Build and maintain prospect and partnership tracking systems and identify opportunities for financial and in-kind support
• Develop standardized outreach and partnership materials for Reading Partners staff
• Create a donor stewardship framework, calendar, and reusable communication and recognition resources
• Analyze donor and prospect information to identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and retention
• Develop project plans, tracking tools, and resources to support fundraising campaigns and annual appeals
• Organize development resources and document repeatable processes, best practices, and standard operating procedures
