Job summary

We Strive for Literacy (WSFL) seeks AmeriCorps VISTA members to help build the Vista Literacy Collaborative, connecting schools, families, community organizations, volunteers, and funders to support literacy for low-income children in Vista, California.

You will join a three-person VISTA team, create scalable outreach and referral systems, and partner with schools and community groups to establish durable processes that sustain impact beyond the service year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to build partnerships and coordinate volunteer-driven activities.

Responsibilities

• Build the partnership and family-access infrastructure; assess partners, referral practices, and barriers; develop tools and pipelines for outreach and enrollment.
• Evaluate systems, train designated users, and contribute final tools and lessons learned to the Vista Literacy Collaborative Replication Toolkit.
