Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Texas is seeking an Engineering Operation Technician to support the South Central Region.

You will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems, to help achieve 99.999% uptime. The role requires travel between data center locations within the region, the ability to work up to 12-hour shifts, and a willingness to relocate or relocate for training.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical facilities maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
