Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) seeks a Critical Environment Regional Engineering Manager in New York to lead mission‑critical engineering operations for data centers and labs. The role emphasizes 24/7 uptime, high-performance teams, and reliable infrastructure across multiple sites.

You will translate complex challenges into actionable solutions, guiding strategic technical direction, reliability improvements, and sustainability initiatives within a dynamic regional portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years in critical environment engineering operations or data center management.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in 24/7 operations across multiple sites.
• Experience with Tier III/IV facilities and uptime-focused operations.
• Knowledge of UPS, emergency generation, HVAC, electrical distribution, and fire suppression.
• Proficiency with CMMS (Corrigo preferred), DCIM, and change-management tools.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50–75% within region.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional critical environment engineering teams delivering service quality across data centers and facilities.
• Serve as technical escalation point and SME for clients, guiding complex issues and capacity planning.
• Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance for UPS, generators, cooling, fire suppression, and BMS across sites.
• Conduct quarterly site evaluations and audits for compliance, redundancy, and readiness.
• Review and approve change requests through ServiceNow with robust MOPs and risk assessments.
• Monitor uptime metrics, MTBF/MTTR, PUE, and thermal performance using DCIM and BMS data.
• Mentor Chief Engineers and site teams with training and certification support.
