Job summary

JLL is seeking a Critical Environments Operating Engineer to maintain mission-critical infrastructure and ensure 100% uptime for client operations at Getzville, NY. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge technology and opportunities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Key qualifications include 2+ years in data centers, OSHA30, and strong communication. The position requires flexibility for various schedules and emergencies, with robust CMMS and MS Office/Google Suite skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on data center/critical facility experience.
• OSHA30 certification.
• Fiber handling & cleaning.
• Advanced cabling standards.
• Rack elevation & documentation reading.
• Lift & material handling certification (Provided by Client).
• Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to document activities clearly.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, and CMMS.
• Flexibility to work different schedules, including holidays, and respond to site emergencies.
• Ability to frequently walk, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and work overhead in large campus-like settings.

Responsibilities

• Executes racking, stacking, and cabling without supervision.
• Performs structured cable dressing (vertical/horizontal).
• Verifies labeling accuracy and documentation.
• Supports decomms and remediation work.
• Assists with vendor supervision and validation.
• Updates tickets / CMMS with accurate asbuilt details.
