Job summary

KIPP Massachusetts is seeking a Data and Analytics Manager to lead backend data operations, ensuring secure access to student data for leaders and teachers. You will design and maintain regional dashboards in a BigQuery data warehouse and translate data into actionable insights for instructional leadership.

Reporting to the Director of Data, you will be a hands-on executor, demonstrating operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement in high-volume, detail-oriented work across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 2-3 years demonstrable experience.
• Computer literacy and baseline familiarity with Google Suite.
• Expertise querying large spreadsheets, data sources, and/or data warehouses.
• Expertise in data visualization, preferably using Excel and/or Tableau.
• Experience with coding languages such as SQL.
• Demonstrable project management skills and relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Experience in education setting preferred.
• Pass Criminal Background Checks.

Responsibilities

• Works in collaboration with data warehouse vendor to establish integrations with information systems.
• Creates and maintains SQL queries to process data into clean formats.
• Investigates data quality issues and implements improvements.
• Designs and maintains data dashboards for various audiences.
• Processes data access requests with proper approvals and security policies.
• Supports internal and external data requests across the region.
• Joins and supports data-related meetings and PD sessions.
