Merck & Co., Inc. in the United States seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory/COPD to drive scientific exchange, research discussions, and congress support. Credentialed (PhD/MD/PharmD) leaders engage with national and regional SLs to share approved and in-development data.

The role requires 3+ years COPD/respiratory experience, strong communication, and knowledge of FDA/OIG/HIPAA, with up to 50% travel. Flexible remote work options; competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• PhD/ PharmD/ DNP/ DO/ MD credential required.
• Minimum 3 years of COPD/Respiratory experience beyond terminal degree.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills.
• Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with FDA, OIG, HIPAA regulations; strong scientific education.

Responsabilités

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs to share approved and in-development data.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and provides medical contact within the company.
• Directs SL inquiries to appropriate resources per policies and AOI scope.
• Leads discussions to determine alignment of investigator-sponsored research with our strategies.
• Engages in scientific congresses and meetings; gathers insights for strategic decisions.
