Position Summary
This position leads accounting and finance activities for multiple manufacturing locations in the Central Region. The role is responsible for financial reporting, plant performance analysis, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
The position partners directly with Plant Managers to support daily KPI reporting, cost analysis, forecasting, and operational decision-making across each facility.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close across multiple plants
- Own plant financial performance, including analysis, cost monitoring, and identification of savings opportunities
- Partner with Plant Managers on budgets, forecasts, and daily KPI reporting
- Drive variance analysis across labor, materials, and overhead
- Oversee capital projects, including tracking, reporting, and ROI analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
- Strengthen financial processes and controls across all sites
- Support audits and regulatory reporting
- Lead and develop plant-level accounting and finance teammates
- Serve as a finance business partner to operations, translating financial information into actionable insights
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
- 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing accounting or plant finance
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong cost accounting and operational finance background
- Experience working in SOX-controlled environments preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards a plus)
- Comfortable working directly in plant environments
- This position is based onsite at active manufacturing and mine facilities
- Regular presence in processing, packaging, warehouse, and supply areas
- May involve walking, climbing, and working in varying conditions (heat, noise, uneven terrain)
- PPE required during plant walkthroughs, including steel toe shoes and additional protective equipment
