Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Construction Area Manager to oversee multiple communities in its designated area.

You will supervise General Superintendents, Superintendents and Project Managers, implement company policies, and monitor field operations and safety standards. The role requires strong construction knowledge, budget control, and excellent communication. Travel overnight is required, and a valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Seven years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct construction activities in the field.
• Set build times and provide schedules.
• Maintain profitability and manage costs in assigned communities.
• Oversee field operations and ensure quality control to company standards.
• Ensure safety standards per OSHA and regulations.
• Travel overnight as required.
