Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Regional Collections Associate to manage a regional portfolio and maximize cash flow. You will drive collections, minimize 30+ day delinquencies, and protect financial interests through disciplined actions and terms enforcement.

Collaborating with Operations, Rental, and Sales leadership, you will monitor receivables, prepare updates, and participate in leadership calls to forecast bad debt expense and improve overall metrics.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; higher degrees preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance preferred.
• 1+ year in commercial collections required; 2+ years in accounting with HS; 0-1 year with AA/BS.

Responsibilities

• Contacts customers to solicit payment and negotiate cessation of services; gather information on deductions and billing issues.
• Analyze disputes and deductions to resolve amounts due due to wrong rates, days, miles, or other items; identify root causes.
• Provide regular updates to Ryder’s Finance, Operations, Sales and Rental leadership on receivables and bad debt forecasts.
• Participate in projects or focus groups related to Collections, Accounts Receivable, and Billing.
