Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 12 hours college courses in Finance & Accounting preferred.
• Funeral Services / Mortuary Science diploma preferred; Bachelor’s degree where required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual business plan and budget with local leadership to meet financial goals.
• Monitor and achieve annual financial goals; approve expenditures and invoices.
• Manage day-to-day operations to ensure on-time services and exceed client family expectations.
• Establish location goals, priorities, processes and monitor staff accountability.
• Collaborate with Market Leadership and Corporate on improvements and needs.
• Maintain facilities and comply with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Develop a strong team, provide feedback, and manage training/licensing requirements.
• Screen candidates and manage staffing, compensation, and promotions.
• Handle disciplinary actions and HR processes with Market Leadership.
• Build brand awareness and community relationships and engage with local leaders.
• Improve customer satisfaction and online reviews through service excellence.
• Assist with arrangements and service logistics as needed.
