Job summary

Walmart is hiring regional truck drivers to help keep freight moving safely and on time. You will plan routes, perform required paperwork, and safely operate tractors and trailers while meeting DOT and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement with cleared background check or will obtain within 120 days of hire.
• Minimum of 30 months (2.5 years) of full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving experience in the last 36 months.
• No more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No serious traffic violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents in the last three years.
• No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the last ten years.
• No preventable accident resulting in fatality or catastrophic injury in driving history.
• Must live within 250 miles of the assigned facility or willing to relocate within 250 miles by 90 days from hire date.

Responsibilities

• Plan your day, set priorities, and work with your team to keep freight moving safely and on time.
• Handle all required paperwork and electronic logs accurately and follow DOT, state, and company guidelines.
• Safely operate tractor-trailer, inspecting it before, during, and after each trip to keep it in top shape.
• Run optimized routes by following traffic laws and local restrictions—reducing delays and improving on-time delivery.
• Uphold Walmart’s high standards of safety, integrity, and professionalism every mile of the way.
