Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in the United States is hiring a Regional Driver responsible for same-day pickup and delivery within a defined region. You will operate CDL A tractor-trailers, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure safe, timely freight movement while upholding customer service standards.

This full-time role requires a safety-first mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to navigate using GPS and route planning tools.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A License required.
• Minimum 2 years of CDL A driving experience within the last 4 years (3+ years preferred).
• Must meet DOT qualification requirements (FMCSR 391.41).
• No positive drug or alcohol test results in the past five years.
• No accidents involving bodily injury in the past three years.
• Experience in local P&D operations, multi-stop routing, and urban driving environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of load securement and freight handling.
• Ability to navigate using GPS and route planning tools.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and professionalism in customer-facing environments.
• Experience handling high-value or sensitive freight preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• TWIC card (or ability to obtain within 90 days)

Responsibilities

• Drives semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours after 10 hours off-duty on runs of up to one week or more.
• Backs trailers to customer dock.
• Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe driving behavior.
• Communicates with customer representatives in a pleasant, respectful manner.
• Cooperates with dispatchers and routes deliveries.
• Complies with DOT requirements including drug/alcohol testing.
• Secures cargo and balances it within the vehicle.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer.
• Handles trailer doors and related equipment.
• Performs other duties as required.
