Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability in New York, NY seeks an experienced supervisor for Behavior Intervention Specialists to oversee regional operations, conduct evaluations, and ensure fidelity of behavior support plans across assigned programs.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related clinical field (or BCBA with advanced degree), NY license, and 3+ years supporting individuals with developmental disabilities; strong supervision and data skills are essential. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology or applied psychology or related field; or BCBA with master’s in behavior analysis or related field.
• Current license and registration in Mental Health Counseling (NYSED) or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of direct work with individuals with developmental disabilities and experience leading behavior support plans.
• Completion of BIS School (or authorized equivalent) within one year of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise BIS staff across regions; conduct observations and evaluations; ensure adherence to behavior support plans and data collection.
• Lead and participate in hiring, staffing, and regional leadership meetings; coordinate schedules and coverage.
• Travel to programs and headquarters to supervise, train, and support staff; provide clinical guidance on interventions and safety.
