Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an Area Manager I to lead multiple bases in the region, coordinating clinical, aviation, and maintenance services to optimize safety, quality, and financial outcomes.

You will influence KPIs, manage day-to-day operations, staff scheduling, and base performance while partnering with COE peers to drive safety and customer satisfaction. Travel may be required to cover bases across the region.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of related work experience in clinical, aviation, maintenance with leadership background
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to manage base operations and coordinate cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day base operations and ensure bases are in service and safe
• Drive KPIs to maximize profitability and efficiency
• Manage P&L, expenses and payroll controls across bases
• Schedule staff to ensure 100% coverage and minimize overtime
• Recruit, coach, and develop area staff in collaboration with COE partners
• Coordinate supply chain, maintenance, and clinical activities for bases
• Maintain licenses and regulatory compliance and manage safety standards
• Support hospital partner relationships and joint initiatives
