Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an Area Manager I to lead day-to-day base operations across multiple locations, driving safety, staffing, and financial performance. This bonus-eligible leadership role oversees KPIs, P&L, and customer satisfaction across a dispersed territory.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with Clinical, Aviation, Maintenance, Safety, and Sales leadership, travel up to 70%+, and ensure adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of related work experience in clinical, aviation, maintenance with strong leadership background.
• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred.
• Experience in cross-functional leadership and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day base operations across multiple locations.
• Drive KPIs to maximize profit contribution.
• Manage P&L, expenses, and payroll controls.
• Schedule base staff for 100% coverage and minimize overtime.
• Coordinate with COE and regional leadership to ensure policy compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, coach, and develop area staff; address performance issues.
• Oversee supply chain, maintenance, and clinical-related expenses for bases.
• Support regional leadership with scorecards and action plans.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (DOT) and licenses; maintain business licenses.
• Coordinate base startups, moves and closures; facility repairs and lease management.
