Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a Pacwest Regional Aviation Manager to oversee aviation activities and personnel across the regional area, focusing on safety and training. The role ensures compliance with regulations, manages operations, and supports a coordinated response to service requests.

You will supervise aviation staff, coordinate pilot training, monitor safety performance, and work with regional leaders, maintenance and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field with substantial experience in air medical transports.
• Minimum 2,500 flight hours and Part 135 operation experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, safety, and regulatory compliance capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regional operations comply with regulations and manuals.
• Lead aviation management activities and coordinate with field leadership.
• Report budget variances to Director of Operations and monitor KPIs.
• Oversee training programs for pilots, medical crewmembers, and staff.
• Coordinate safety programs and investigate incidents when required.
• Supervise aviation department staff and manage performance appraisals.
• Maintain audit readiness and ensure regulatory publications are updated.
• Provide 24/7 availability for operational needs and back-up aircraft management.
