Job summary

Lee Health’s Lab - Histology team seeks an operational leader to supervise offsite Anatomical Pathology laboratory operations and pathology support services that feed specimens, materials, and workflow into the Regional Laboratory.

The role provides direct leadership for assigned offsite locations, overseeing specimen intake, accessioning, preparation, handling, routing, and transportation, and coordinating send-out workflows with pathologists and hospital partners to ensure quality and timely

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Histotechnology or related field required.
Bachelor's or Master's in healthcare administration preferred.
Histotechnician HT or HTL certification may be required.
Minimum three years in lead or supervisory roles in pathology or healthcare operations.

Responsibilities

Oversee offsite Anatomical Pathology lab operations and pathology support services.
Lead specimen intake, accessioning, preparation, handling, routing, transport, and tracking.
Coordinate send-out workflows with pathologists and regional laboratory leadership.
Ensure compliance with quality, turnaround-time, patient-safety, and regulatory standards.
