Job summary

Texas A&M University is seeking a Regional Advisor II to advance national scholarship recruitment and expand outreach through colleges, counselors, and community partners. The role focuses on coordinating admissions, financial aid, and recruitment programs to attract high-achieving students, including National Merit Scholars, across multiple territories.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, capable of building partnerships, mentoring team members, and leading key recruitment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years of related experience in student services, admissions, recruitment, or financial aid.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment: identify and recruit high-achieving students and manage admissions pathways.
• Matriculation: guide students through admission pathways, housing, orientation, and campus resources.
• Customer Service: engage with counselors, schools, and families to improve advisement and enrollment processes.
• Leadership: mentor and train junior advisors in admissions and financial aid rules and procedures.
• Job Knowledge: stay informed on policies, travel to conferences, and use university systems (Banner, AIS, Howdy, MOSES, SLATE, TAMUDocs).
• Travel: coordinate visits to high schools, presentations, and recruitment events within assigned territory.
