Summary:

In this role, you will work with limited supervision to deliver dedicated, strategic support to our pediatric hospital system client. Collaborating closely with the Spend Executive, you will drive value through enhanced supply chain performance and increased adoption of Vizient contracts and programs. By identifying savings opportunities and recommending high-impact products and solutions, you will strengthen client engagement and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage client's functional experts to understand and address their business challenges, assess business needs and strategic imperatives and engage Spend Management Delivery team to design processes and / or identify solutions in response to client's requests and anticipated needs.

  • Activate and optimize the national and/or commit Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) by utilizing category management and core tenet strategies in alignment with the Spend Management delivery team and client workplan.

  • Drive value to clients by identifying and optimizing cost savings opportunities, contracts, and tiers, while ensuring efficient procurement practices, maximizing value for the organization, and driving strategic alignment across all stakeholders involved.

  • Connect client to Vizient resources and tools; provide training and support for newly implemented solutions and educate client on spend management offerings to drive penetration of contracts.

  • Collaborate with Category Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and the Vizient delivery team to implement solutions, leveraging core tenet insights and Vizient resources.

  • Partner with Product Advisors to align category strategies with the client workplan. This includes analyzing the GPO Performance Dashboard to track sales plan performance, identifying category trends and gaps, and connecting underreported spend.

  • Deliver service and support for clients by hosting, facilitating and/or participating in internal Spend Management meetings and Quarterly Business Reviews to share progress, identify opportunities, and overcome obstacles.

  • Engage with suppliers on strategic workplan initiatives and targets as identified on monthly zone supplier calls.

  • Build and maintain knowledge of industry trends related to Vizient's core tenets and spend categories, utilizing insights and intelligence to inform and implement client workplan initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 2 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Account Management, Category Management or Supply Chain experience within healthcare preferred.

  • Experience working with complex healthcare/hospital clients who have multiple sites preferred. Specific experience within a pediatric health system would be a plus.

  • Possess strong client-facing skills, and group presentation experience.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines, and strong conflict resolution skills.

  • Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint skills required.

  • This is a virtual role supporting a client with sites across the Atlantic coastal region. Candidates must reside within the Southeast region of the U.S.

  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $135,400.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
