The Regional Account Manager will work as part of a broader team to enable customer retention through effective account management activities. This role combines account management and targeting growth opportunities within the existing customer base. It requires managing a territory plan, overseeing all single-family segments including the channel, and collaborating with peers and management to transition new accounts. The incumbent will work with a team of sales reps to drive regional sales results.

What You'll Do:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain relationships with key influential customers in targeted geographies and defend our business with them.
  • Identify and target growth opportunities within the existing customer base and collaborate with growth representatives to transition accounts successfully.
  • Support customers during their transition to James Hardie products by removing barriers and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Utilize CRM tools to make informed decisions that enable volume growth year over year.
  • Conduct segmentation to evaluate the market and lead all aspects of the sales process, leveraging resources as needed.
  • Build and nurture relationships, grow networks, and identify targets with passion.
  • Develop a strong understanding of company products, customer programs, and benefits.
  • Analyze data to inform decision-making in the market.
  • Host, lead, and present in front of large audiences.

What You'll Bring:
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of sales experience in a high-touch sales environment.
  • Proven success in an account management role.
  • Construction expertise and knowledge at job sites.
  • Strong sales mentality and understanding of the sales process.
  • High organization, discipline, and self-structure.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels and in various environments.
  • Travel 10-15% out of market.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program (preferred).
