Job description

REGIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER (Need 1 to cover Northern or Southern region)

Location: La Grange, GA (REMOTE)

Job type: Permanent / Full-Time

Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 per year base plus commission

Minimum 3 years’ experience in outside industrial sales. Must be familiar with air blast equipment and its operation or have equivalent mechanical experience with machinery sales, Foundry Equipment.

Our global foundry solutions client seeks a Regional Account Manager (Wheelabrator Air) for a full-time permanent position. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Account Manager will be responsible for revenue growth within a defined geographic territory, primarily for sales of new OEM Equipment for Wheelabrator Air applications to new and existing customers. Secondary responsibilities include selling aftermarket parts, equipment modernization programs/upgrades (EMP), and service contracts in cooperation with peers.

Responsibilities
  • Develop regional strategy with the Director of Sales to increase revenue & profitability, gain market share, and expand relationships in new & existing accounts.
  • Support North American OEM sales activities related to the Wheelabrator Global Air offer – both technically and commercially.
  • Screen customer needs and sales opportunities for the Wheelabrator Air OEM product portfolio in Europe, including quotations and contractual negotiations with support from the Global Air Technology center in Europe.
  • Set prices on OEM and project sales.
  • Ensure consistent application of technology in the region.
  • Identify opportunities to improve OEM products or expand the portfolio.
  • Plan, follow up, and set targets for OEM and project sales.
  • Track and monitor competitors’ activities.
  • Develop and maintain a network with decision-makers in customer organizations.
  • Use solution-based selling to promote cross-selling of other Client brands, addressing audiences from machine operators to C-level executives.
  • Utilize company resources effectively through proper planning and opportunity qualification.
  • Communicate effectively with inside sales, engineering, applications, service technicians, other brand representatives, and Wheelabrator personnel to grow the business.
  • Maintain detailed customer and equipment information in CRM; manage leads, opportunities, and proposals.
  • Provide weekly activity reports, itineraries, and submit expense reports on time; prepare and meet territory forecasts.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Travel 70-80% of the week (away from home office).
  • Manage your schedule efficiently.
  • Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Perform special projects and duties as required.
Specific Tasks
  • Secure and develop sales support within the product range.
  • Lead and develop supporting staff (technicians and commercial) in America.
  • Create and participate in networks and lectures.
  • Negotiate and finalize larger contracts.
  • Drive market intelligence regarding technology trends, end-users, and competitors.
  • Monitor and follow up on market share of technology.
  • Develop business plans for increased OEM product and project sales in the region.
  • Gather customer and manufacturer feedback and collaborate on pipeline development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in outside industrial sales, familiar with blast equipment and its operation or equivalent mechanical experience.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; CRM experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
