Position Overview

Siemens offers the infrastructure and scale to support the current industry growth, enabling real, long-term impact in the data center space. We are building the infrastructure backbone of artificial intelligence and cloud computing, seeking qualified candidates to electrify and automate future data centers. Our mission is to blend the physical and digital worlds across various technologies, solutions, and services, providing scalable electrical systems that connect data centers to a modern grid and create efficient, safe, and adaptable environments.

This position involves developing and managing customer accounts within the Data Center market, representing Siemens in all sales and strategic activities, and collaborating across departments to increase market share, develop opportunities, and improve margins. The role requires strategic planning, cross-departmental teamwork, and a focus on expanding business within existing and new markets. The global account manager will interact across multiple Siemens business units and countries, reporting directly to the data centers center of competence.

Role Responsibilities
  • Develop trusting relationships with clients and Siemens, establishing thought leadership.
  • Understand client needs and manage business planning, including strategic account plans.
  • Identify opportunities to grow Siemens' share of wallet across multiple business lines.
  • Engage clients in co-value creation and measure success through KPIs or OKRs.
  • Coordinate communication between clients and internal teams for pre-sale, sale, and post-sale activities.
  • Manage account organization, decision-makers, and key resources.
  • Analyze client data to guide Siemens' strategic actions.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to travel 50%+ domestically and internationally
  • 10+ years in sales, management, or key account management, with 5+ years in sales leadership
  • 5+ years in the Data Center industry
  • 5+ years in power/electrical systems or building automation
  • 3+ years in account and business planning
  • Legal authorization to work in the US
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong network and influence in the data center infrastructure sector
  • Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven success in building and scaling customer accounts
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Industry influence and client solutions delivery experience
Additional Information
