Job Description
As we move forward with expansion and optimization in our PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Building) Segment within Shelter Solutions, the Regional Account Manager will play a critical role in strategic planning and implementation. The goal is to maintain our market-leading position, improve margins, and simplify business processes within these segments to drive better financial performance over the next three years.

Scope

  • Manages a portfolio of 10 to 20 accounts within the respective segment.
  • Responsible for $10M - $20M in revenue, with objectives to expand portfolio revenue and margin.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for developing strategic plans for all portfolio accounts to meet company objectives. This includes analyzing account performance metrics such as Gross Margin, COPQ, Total Cost to Serve, Freight, SKU Rationalization, Share of Wallet, etc. The role involves implementing sales strategies aligned with Shelter Solutions’ goals to foster sales growth and enhance customer satisfaction. Collaboration with cross-functional leaders is essential to drive a coordinated go-to-market strategy for all products and services.

Essential Functions

  • Develop annual sales plans supporting MBCI organization strategies.
  • Lead the implementation and execution of sales strategies and programs.
  • Apply account management techniques and customer stratification to improve profitability.
  • Coordinate communications to support sales objectives and meet organizational budgets in collaboration with marketing.
  • Establish strategies to increase year-over-year revenue and margins within the account portfolio.
  • Create value propositions and differentiation strategies for sustainable growth.
  • Recommend sales improvements based on market research and competitor analysis.
  • Lead integration initiatives supporting aggressive M&A strategies.
  • Foster a sales culture centered on exceptional customer service.
  • Operate effectively as an individual contributor and influence peers through leadership.
  • Maintain familiarity with CRM practices and build productive professional relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in sales leadership or strategic account management.
  • Strong knowledge of technical product selling; experience in a similar industry preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, including success in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to influence leadership and adopt new ideas or products.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to execute strategies and achieve results.
  • Remote office location acceptable with regular travel required.
