Summary: The full-time Assistant Manager is responsible for the operation and supervision of a theatre and its staff, acting as a representative of Regal consistent with our mission and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring regular attendance and upholding theatre policies.
- Training, developing, coaching, and supervising staff.
- Performing all staff roles as needed.
- Operating projection and audio-visual equipment, maintaining systems, and troubleshooting.
- Maintaining current alcohol certifications where applicable.
- Monitoring safety, loss prevention, and handling emergencies.
- Managing cash and receipts, including deposits and reconciliation.
- Adhering to dress code standards.
- Completing or progressing through management certification programs.
- Understanding and reviewing operational policies like ROM.
- Participating in hiring, scheduling, coaching, and disciplinary actions with oversight and HR compliance.
- Controlling costs, managing inventory, and ordering supplies.
- Supervising maintenance and minor repairs.
- Marketing, scheduling, and communicating movie showtimes.
- Reading and understanding training materials on topics such as harassment and discrimination.
Additional Duties: As assigned by the GM or senior management.
Qualifications:
To succeed, candidates should meet the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; supervisory or theatre experience preferred.
- If selling alcohol, must be of legal age and trained accordingly.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong math, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with PC and office software.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and staff.
- Supervisory experience, including training and performance management.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 60 lbs, standing, walking, and other physical tasks.
Additional Skills and Attributes
- Good interpersonal skills, goal setting, and time management.
Legal and Certification Requirements
