Job Details

Summary: The theatre maintenance person is a team member responsible for performing minor repairs in all areas of the theatre, including the projection booth, and representing Regal in a manner consistent with our mission and policies. Responsibilities vary based on theatre needs and employee availability, and may include tasks such as changing fixtures, repairing fan motors, tile work, sheetrock repair, painting, and safety inspections. The role does not cover equipment or maintenance managed by the Technical Services Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure regular and consistent attendance.
  • Maintain auditorium seats and repair as needed.
  • Perform tile work, sheetrock repair, painting, and other minor repairs.
  • Train theatre personnel in minor repairs and safety procedures.
  • Change light bulbs and perform daily inspections.
  • Collaborate with management for larger maintenance issues.
  • Operate and understand the alarm system.
  • Follow all safety and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance appropriate for safety and comfort.

Qualifications:

  • Prior maintenance experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills in oral and written form.
  • Problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing, stooping, and balancing.
