Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Case Aide in Phoenix, AZ to provide trauma-informed services to refugees and qualified immigrants, supporting a positive resettlement and long-term self-sufficiency. The role assists clients with accessing essential services, supports caseworkers, and connects clients to community resources.

The position requires at least a high school diploma and prefers 1+ year of relevant experience, especially with refugee/immigrant populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required;
• At least 1 year of relevant experience strongly preferred; Experience working with refugee or immigrant populations preferred.
• Strong relationship-building, diplomacy, and networking skills.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in accessing essential services such as housing, healthcare, transportation, childcare, and other resources.
• Support caseworkers in implementing individualized self-sufficiency and employability plans through encouragement, reminders, and practical support.
• Facilitate connections to community programs that promote integration and economic stability; help clients utilize available resources effectively.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and input information into internal databases.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with IRC staff, service providers, and community partners to enhance service delivery.
• Provide transportation or accompany clients to appointments, job interviews, and service agencies as needed.
• Assist with referrals, scheduling, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Provide interpretation services when qualified and appropriate.
