Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Caseworker in Glendale, AZ to provide trauma-informed case management for refugees and ORR-eligible immigrants, helping them access housing, healthcare, education, and employment. You will develop self-sufficiency plans and coordinate with partners to ensure timely supports and successful resettlement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field strongly preferred; comparable work experience may be substituted.
• Minimum 2 years of case management experience in a social services environment.
• Experience working with vulnerable or underserved populations preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; detail-oriented.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary team.
• Problem-solver with ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; public speaking experience preferred.
• Language Skills: English proficiency required; bilingual ability in Spanish, Dari, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French, or other refugee/immigrant language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intakes and needs assessments to identify strengths, barriers, and goals for enrolled clients.
• Develop Family Self-Sufficiency Plans (FSSPs) and Individual Employability Plans (IEPs) with clients, ensuring alignment with program and donor requirements.
• Provide trauma-informed case management services, including direct support, referrals, and advocacy with service providers.
• Coordinate access to housing, benefits, healthcare, education, and employment services.
• Monitor client progress toward goals, adjusting plans as needed, and ensure documentation is timely and accurate in case files and data systems.
• Maintain strong relationships with community partners and service providers to expand available resources for clients.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and trainings to promote quality service delivery and professional development.
• Follow all IRC policies and procedures, including safeguarding, data protection, and confidentiality protocols.
