Interns will work directly with clients, gain professional mentorship, and develop critical social service skills. Applicants must be graduate or undergraduate students in Social Work, possess a valid Texas Driver’s License, and be able to work onsite.

The Refugee Services Department supports government-approved refugees in achieving stability and self-sufficiency through cultural orientation, case management, employment support, family reunification, referrals, and community integration services.
Interns serve as Social Work Generalists and gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of refugee resettlement. All client-facing tasks are completed under the supervision of a case manager or program supervisor, ensuring structured guidance, professional mentorship, and meaningful real-world experience in social services and refugee resettlement.
