Job summary

U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) Atlanta seeks a Case Manager for the Program of Initial Resettlement to support newly arrived refugees through direct services and to arrange housing, healthcare, and social services.

This full-time professional position reports to the Senior Field Office Director and collaborates with community partners to ensure culturally respectful, client-centered resettlement and long-term integration in the Atlanta area.

Qualifications

• High School degree required; undergraduate degree preferred.
• Experience in case management or social work preferred.
• Ability to work as a team member and independently, with high level of self-motivation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, troubleshoot, and follow projects through without loss of attention to detail.
• Proficient interpersonal skills, including keen listening and relationship building.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Must have a valid State issued driver's license, insurance, clean driving record and personal transportation.
• Demonstrated support of USCRI’s values and dedication to human rights of refugees.

Responsibilities

• Arrange housing, healthcare, social services, service providers and interpretation for newly arriving refugees in the Atlanta area;
• Maintain case files, submit written reports as required;
• Provide cross-cultural information, orient refugee families to their new community, and ensure a smooth process of resettlement;
• Connect clients with supportive community networks and long-term integration opportunities;
• Attend stakeholder meetings and collaborate with community partners to identify resources and referrals;
• Ensure services are linguistically and culturally appropriate and advocate as needed;
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
