Job summary

World Relief in the United States seeks an Employment Specialist to help refugee clients prepare for, secure, and retain employment, fulfilling program requirements in close collaboration with employment and casework staff. This is a grant-funded, limited-term role through 5/31/26 with potential extensions.

The specialist will assess skills, develop service plans, contact clients, and connect them with resources while supporting self-sufficiency and meaningful work integration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years of direct services or case file maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist refugee clients to prepare for, secure, and retain employment.
• Assess client skills and develop an employment plan with achievable goals.
• Contact clients via office visits, calls, and home visits as needed.
• Refer clients to childcare, DMV, medical care, training, and transportation.
• Provide job counseling, resumes, and interview techniques.
• Coordinate with area employers to place clients and build relationships.
