Job summary

JFCS Pittsburgh is seeking a Refugee Employment Specialist to assist adult refugees within their first five years in the U.S. in finding jobs within designated timelines and to support families through case management.

You will work with refugee teams, employers, and community partners to develop individualized job plans, provide coaching, arrange transportation, and prepare clients for interviews, promoting economic self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience working with refugee/immigrant populations.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Ability to promote program to employers and partners.
• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant life experience.
• Fluency in a non-English language preferred (Arabic, Nepali, Swahili, Dari).

Responsibilities

• Assess employment needs and develop individualized job plans with each client.
• Provide job counseling, resume support, and job-search assistance.
• Coordinate workshops and employer outreach to create job opportunities.
• Maintain case notes and progress records per program requirements.
