Job summary

Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston (IM Houston) seeks a Job Developer to create and manage employment opportunities for refugees within the Refugee Services team. You will build relationships with local employers to increase placements and coordinate pre-employment support.

The role requires strategic outreach, strong communication, and ability to work flexibly including some evenings and weekends. Knowledge of the Houston job market is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required with one year of related experience.
• One year of previous experience working with refugees or recruitment experience is required.
• Must have knowledge of the Houston area and job market.
• Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a marketing strategy to target potential employers.
• Identify potential employers with area partners.
• Contact new companies to promote refugee hiring.
• Follow up with interested companies through visits and meetings.
• Provide pre-employment orientation and counseling to clients.
• Document employment services in files per contract requirements.
