Job summary

IM Houston (Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston) is seeking a Job Developer to join the Refugee Services team in Houston, TX. The role focuses on identifying and developing employment opportunities for refugees and building relationships with area employers.

You will market openings, contact potential employers, arrange transportation for interviews, and provide pre-employment counseling to clients to increase placement success. A valid driver's license and flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree with 1 year related experience or a high school diploma with 4 years related experience.
• Experience with refugees or recruitment, staffing, and job placements is required.
• Knowledge of the Houston area job market.

Responsibilities

• Develop a marketing strategy to target potential employers.
• Identify and contact area employers to promote refugee hiring.
• Maintain a database of potential employers and track engagements.
• Provide pre-employment orientation and counseling to clients.
• Coordinate transportation to job interviews for eligible refugees.
• Follow up with clients and employers at 30, 60, and 90 days.
• Review employment periodicals weekly.
