Job summary

Canopy Northwest Arkansas seeks an Employment Specialist to help refugees secure employment and advance economically through training and career pathways. You will build partnerships with workforce agencies, employers, and training providers to expand opportunities for participants. Grant funding may affect this position.

You will develop plans, identify training, and connect participants with mentors while maintaining thorough program records and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience in refugee employment or workforce development is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret employment program materials.

Responsibilities

• Conduct landscape analysis to identify career pathways with wage/skill growth.
• Develop and monitor Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) and pathways.
• Establish relationships with employers to expand opportunities.
• Identify training and credentialing opportunities aligning with needs.
• Recruit and connect mentors with participants as appropriate.
• Collaborate with businesses to support recruitment, onboarding, retention.
• Engage workforce partners and educational institutions to expand access.
• Maintain accurate program records of services and partnerships.
