Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) seeks an Employment Navigator to support employment services for refugee populations in Waterloo. Multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and will guide clients through employment preparation, job placements, and career advancement services.

The role includes intake, assessments, development of employment plans, job coaching, and maintaining records. Daytime hours with occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health or human service related field or one to two years relevant professional experience in workforce development/employment services.
• Linguistic appropriate skills to meet the needs of the clients are desired but not required.
• This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record and the ability to pass an extensive background check.

Responsabilités

• Guide newly arrived refugees and other qualified immigrants through employment preparation and job placement.
• Develop comprehensive employment plans and budget strategies for each employable adult.
• Provide job readiness and job search coaching and connect clients with job opportunities.
• Maintain documentation and track assessments and progress throughout the service period.
