Lutheran Services in Iowa is seeking an Employment Navigator to support employment services for refugees in Waterloo. You will guide clients through preparation, coordinate job placements and support career advancement.

Daytime hours with flexibility for occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends. A Bachelor’s degree in health or human services or 1–2 years in workforce development is required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in health or human service related field or 1–2 years relevant professional experience in workforce development/employment services.
• Linguistic appropriate skills to meet the needs of the clients are desired but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Guide newly arrived refugees and immigrants through employment preparation and job placement.
• Conduct intake, assessment and provide program orientation.
• Develop employment plans and budget strategies for each employable adult.
• Provide job readiness and job search coaching and connect clients with opportunities.
• Maintain documentation and ensure services meet timelines and policies.
