Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston seeks a Lead Employment Specialist to guide refugee job readiness and placement efforts in the Houston area. You will mentor a team, manage intake, and ensure high-quality client services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in employment services or workforce development.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake and orientation for participants in the program.
• Lead and mentor a team of Employment Specialists and provide guidance.
• Deliver job readiness orientations and assist clients with job applications and interviews.
• Schedule interviews and track client progress for 90 days post-placement.
• Provide translation and transportation assistance as needed.
• Maintain client files and ensure documentation meets funding requirements.
• Participate in meetings and assist with special organizational projects.
