Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is seeking an Employment Specialist to support refugee clients in the Houston area. The role focuses on providing employment services, coaching, and building partnerships with local employers to create job opportunities.

Qualifications

Requires Associate degree in social work, public administration, data analytics, or related field.
Two years of experience in employment development is preferred.
Valid Texas Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement employment initiatives and partnerships to help clients increase earning potential.
Maintain relationships with employers and monitor program satisfaction.
Assess client eligibility and create individualized action plans for employment and self-sufficiency.
Provide coaching on resumes, interviews, and job search strategies; arrange mock interviews.
Coordinate transportation and access to additional services as needed.
Organize workforce development events and collaborate with community partners.
