Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in repair and servicing of refrigeration systems or air conditioning systems.
• An approved apprenticeship in the refrigeration or air conditioning mechanic trade or an equivalent combination of experience and training including one year of journey level work.

Responsibilities

• Teach refrigeration practices, methods, installation, repair, and maintenance to inmates.
• Direct inmate crews, assign daily tasks, and inspect completed work.
• Maintain order, track progress, and document attendance and training records.
• Issue, inventory, and search all tools and materials used during training and work assignments.
• Identify needed supplies and submit purchase requests for tools and materials.
