Qualifications

• Five years of experience in repair and servicing of refrigeration or air conditioning systems.
• Completion of an approved apprenticeship in refrigeration or air conditioning mechanic trade.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including one year of journey level work.

Responsibilities

• Teach refrigeration mechanic practices, methods, and procedures.
• Direct inmate work crews, assign tasks, and inspect completed projects.
• Issue, inventory, and account for tools and materials.
• Determine required supplies, submit purchase requests, and plan daily schedules.
• Select instructional methods based on project needs and learner progress.
• Maintain training records, attendance lists, and assignment details.
