Tyson Foods is hiring a Refrigeration Technician for our Prepared Foods facility. You will maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, HCFCs, and related plant equipment while ensuring safety and reliability across shifts.

Role requires reading blueprints, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical systems, and collaborating with plant personnel to minimize downtime. Ability to pass HAZ-MAT and emergency responder training is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; technical schooling a plus.
• 1+ years of industrial refrigeration maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Basic math and computer skills; ability to log information and complete documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for ammonia refrigeration, HCFC, hot water, compressed air, and steam systems.
• Perform proactive maintenance and refrigeration repairs; troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Read blueprints, repair air compressors, and evaluate pneumatic systems procedures.
• Operate in a fast-paced plant environment with safety as a priority; participate in Emergency Response Team training.
