Job summary

CoolSys in Duluth, GA is seeking a Refrigeration Start-up Technician to install and commission supermarket systems, ensuring energy optimization and project delivery. You will leverage EMS knowledge and journeyman skills to start-up parallel racks and troubleshoot.

The role requires 3+ years EMS systems, 5+ years refrigeration, EPA I & II, valid license, and strong communication as you work with branches on EO projects and customer teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supermarket EMS systems.
• 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, especially parallel rack systems.
• EPA I and II Certification required.
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints for refrigeration/electrical/plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Perform evacuations of parallel racks after pressure tests.
• Wiring and programming EMS systems for multiple manufacturers.
• Full start-up of new parallel refrigeration systems and singles.
• Lead small projects like single case and condenser changes.
• Assist EO projects including retro-commissioning and EMS upgrades.
• Coordinate with local branch managers and train junior technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
