Job summary

Hussmann is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair supermarket refrigeration systems across our service region. This role emphasizes hands-on training, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• 7 years field experience or 5 years with tech school certification.
• Must have Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work nights/weekends.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance on supermarket refrigeration systems and self-contained merchandisers.
• Diagnose issues and identify sales opportunities; provide rapid/accurate diagnosis.
• Manage truck inventory, orders, receipts, and parts; maintain vehicle.
• Complete documents and invoicing; operate handheld device for paperwork.
• Install and service components: pipes, doors, coils, sensors; brazing and welding.
• Identify pipe sizes; perform refrigerant and oil conversions; test oil.
• Troubleshoot TEVs and regulators; read schematics.
• Lead PM programs and serve as technical resource.
• Additional duties as assigned.
