Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC an American Foods Group Company is seeking a Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic. You will maintain and repair ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, and air compressors, performing preventive maintenance and supporting associated equipment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, updating P&ID drawings, and keeping logs. Training covers SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, and safety. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Overview

Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC an American Foods Group Company has opportunities for Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic.

As Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic, You Will

Maintain, disassemble, reassemble, repair, test, and inspect industrial ammonia refrigeration system, boilers, air compressors and/or associated equipment to include preventive maintenance.

Job Duties

• Maintain, disassemble, reassemble, repair, test, and inspect industrial ammonia refrigeration system, boilers, air compressors and/or associated equipment to include preventive maintenance.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of all systems and/or equipment components.
• Assist with maintaining P&ID drawings for refrigeration systems.
• Maintain logs and required paperwork.
• Maintain water treatment system for boilers and condensers with help of outside vendor.
• Participate in PSM team projects and meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read and write).
• Prior experience using hand and power tools, precision measuring tools and the ability to read and work from drawings and blueprints.
