• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.

Installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and electrical codes, and then carry out plan; ensure all safety and lock out tag out procedures are followed if applicable.

Inspect and repair electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, to ensure compliance with electrical codes; ensure all safety and lock out tag out procedures are followed if applicable.

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem; ensure all safety and lock out tag out procedures are followed if applicable.

Install or maintain electrical control systems, industrial automation systems, or electrical equipment, including control circuits, variable speed drives, or programmable logic controllers; ensure all safety and lock out tag out procedures are followed if applicable.

Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or ammeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Modify, maintain, or repair electrical, electronic, equipment, or systems to ensure proper functioning; ensure all safety and lock out tag out procedures followed if applicable.

Perform all electrical preventative maintenance and visual inspection for damage on equipment in applicable areas; ensure all safety and lock out tag out procedures are followed if applicable.

Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures.

Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

Train employees as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior lead or management experience.
• Diploma or GED.
• College education.
• Prior maintenance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork or poultry facility.
• Prior production experience.
• Work history in the last 12 months.
