Job summary

Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC, an American Foods Group company, is hiring a Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic in Long Prairie, Minnesota. The role maintains, disassembles, repairs, tests, and inspects industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, and related equipment, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and safety procedures.

You'll troubleshoot components, maintain P&ID drawings, logs, and water treatment systems, participate in PSM activities, and participate in ongoing

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures and surroundings with PPE.
• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime.
• Must be able to communicate in English (speak, read and write).
• Experience reading drawings and blueprints with hand and power tools.
• Must complete training: Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, Food defense, First aid, Lock out/Tag out, Forklift, Walker.

As Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic, You Will

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read and write).
• Prior experience using hand and power tools, precision measuring tools and the ability to read and work from drawings and blueprints.
• Must be able to successfully complete training:
  • Safety.
  • Safe Quality Food (SQF).
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Food defense.
  • First aid.
  • Lock out/Tag out.
  • Forklift.
  • Walker.
