Qualifications

• Proficient with a laptop, able to maintain, troubleshoot and operate building management systems, onboard controls, and PLC-based systems.
• Strong mechanical ability; knowledge of welding and plumbing.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Technical training through apprenticeship, RSES, trade school, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Identify and diagnose issues with refrigeration and HVAC controls; repair self-contained cases and rooftop units; understand glycol systems and DX racked systems.
• Collaborate with team to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Communicate with team, supervisors, and customers to determine best repair practices and assess downtime.
• Create and maintain preventive maintenance records; manage truck inventory.
• Deliver high-quality service while upholding Wegmans safety standards.
